Terms & Conditions
- Drivers must be 20+, hold a valid license for 2+ years. Additional fees for under 20 or over 80. Driver's licenses must be presented in person and be valid for the entire rental period. International drivers must present a valid International Driver's Permit along with their domestic license.
- Only full licenses are accepted; notify Customer Service of any endorsements to avoid issues. No refunds for undisclosed endorsements or missing licenses
- Rental rates are based on 24-hour periods starting at the time of pickup. Additional days will be charged at the standard daily rate or may incur higher. Early returns do not qualify for a refund.
- If renter wishes to extend the rental period, they must obtain authorization from the rental company in advance of the original return date. Failure to obtain authorization for extensions may result in additional charges.
- If the vehicle is returned after the agreed rental period ends, renter will be charged additional fee at the standard daily rate.
A deposit is required for every rental to serve as security against any damage to the car that may occur during the rental time and against any breaking of the rules. Cash, debit, and credit cards are all accepted at Agtran Travel. Agtran Travel retains the right to reject his car rental service if these requirements are not fulfilled. Before the car is checked out, a deposit will be collected.
Renter can get full refund if cancelled reservation 48 hours before rental start.
No refunds will be provided for:
- Cancellations within 48 hours without a valid reason.
- Downgrading vehicles within 48 hours.
- Failure to provide a registered driver or collect the car at the agreed time.
- Failure to present a valid license or permit during pick-up.
- Early returns during minimum rental period.
- Unused rental days resulting from late pick up or early return.
- Changes in business or personal plans.
- No-shows (failure to pick up the vehicle without notice).

Refunds are processed within approximately 14 business days.
If the reserved rental vehicle is unavailable due to unforeseen circumstances, the rental company reserves the right to provide a replacement vehicle of comparable or greater class at no additional cost to the renter. The rental company does not guarantee vehicle availability, make, model, or features. There will be refund issued if it costs less.
Renter agrees not to use the vehicle for any illegal, prohibited, or other purposes deemed unsafe by the rental company. Renter must not:
- Driving while impaired by alcohol, drugs or other substances
- Transporting illegal substances or contraband
- Transporting persons or property for hire
- Towing or pushing any vehicle or trailer without authorization
- Driving on restricted roads, off-road, or on unpaved surfaces
- Overloading the vehicle beyond capacity
- Transporting odorous item, smoke, flammable, hazardous or explosive materials
- Any intentional reckless driving or misconduct with the vehicle
- Tamper with registration or license plate
- Obtain insurance without Agtran consent
- Take the car out of Malaysia or park illegally
- Engage in activities causing inconvenience or damage
- Carry a pet without permission
Violating any prohibited acts may result in immediate termination of the rental agreement and forfeiture of any paid rental fees or deposits. Renter will be responsible for all fines, fees, penalties and damage resulting from prohibited acts.
After hours pickups and drop-offs are available by request for a fee per hour. Renter must arrange at least 12 hours in advance. Renter is responsible until return is verified by staff. Failure to follow procedures may incur charges. Standard terms apply. Optional coverages may not be available.
Child seats, roof racks (not available on some vehicles), and other "extras" are available upon request in the majority of locations, but cannot be guaranteed. Typically, a fee is charged by us. In the majority of locations, kid safety seats are required by law. Please be aware that rear seatbelts may not be available in all vehicles. Please contact our Customer Service for more information on these things. These products must be requested at the time of booking.
The vehicle is rented level to level. Renter agrees to return it with the same amount of fuel at the end of the rental period. If the vehicle is returned with less fuel than at pickup, the renter will be charged a refueling fee based on the cost of the missing fuel plus a service charge. The fuel tank level will be indicated on the rental agreement at pickup and drop-off.
The Touch 'n Go policy requires a specific balance at pick-up and drop-off. Differing balances incur charges at Agtran Rent a Car's rates, with no refunds for excess. Acceptance implies agreement with the policy.
Renter is responsible for paying all toll fees, parking, speeding and traffic violations incurred during the rental period. The rental company will charge renter's payment method on file an administrative fee per occurrence for processing tolls and violations plus the cost of the toll or fine after the rental period has ended. Failure to pay such fees may result in additional penalties.
The rental company is not responsible for loss of or damage to any personal items left in the rental vehicle at the end of the rental period. Left items handled as follows:
- Valueless, fragile, dangerous, or perishable items kept for 3 days, then disposed.
- Important items stored for 7 days, then handed to police; if unclaimed, stored for a month.
- Prohibited items handed over to police immediately.
- Other items stored for a month, then discarded if unclaimed.
If renter wishes any found items to be returned, shipping and handling fees will apply. Renter agrees to indemnify the rental company for any liability regarding personal items left behind.
Renter is responsible for all physical damage to the rental vehicle during the rental period, regardless of fault. Report any damage to Customer Service upon return; repair costs and administration fees vary by damage type.
- Minor issues (scratches, glass, bumper damage) incur fees outlined in our price list.
- Major damage is assessed by an expert or independent repair shop if immobilization is required.
- Post-rental, we provide documentation for discovered damage, including estimates and admin fees.
- Dispute by contacting Customer Service within 14 days: after, Agtran may invoice for repairs and fees.
Note
We don't pursue renter claims or handle liability payments. All renter payments are invoiced accordingly. Renters with alternative insurance settle payments directly. We don't provide repair estimates, police reports. or materials for renter insurance claims.
- Renter is responsible for changing any flat tires on the rental vehicle themselves using the spare tire, jack, and other equipment provided.
- If the renter fails to change the flat tire or declines to do so for any reason, the rental company will change the tire of the vehicle and apply the following fees based on the distance from the rental branch.
- Renter is responsible for all tire and wheel damage caused by road hazards during the rental period. The rental company provides the required equipment for tire changes but does not provide roadside assistance. Optional tire damage waivers may reduce renter's liability for tire repairs or replacement.
The rental company reserves the right to terminate rental agreements and repossess the vehicle without notice if renter violates any terms or conditions, operates the vehicle recklessly or unlawfully, or otherwise breaches the rental agreement. In such cases, law enforcement may be contacted to seize the vehicle and no refund will be given. Renter will be responsible for paying any outstanding balance, fees, or damages owed.
